2010 GROSS CHAMPION - A Senior at Lake Mary Prep, Owen beat a field of 45 players, to win the Low Gross Championship Award, with a score of 72.
2010 NET CHAMPION - A Net score of 66 gave Russell McLatchey the edge in winning the Net Championship Award. An avid golfer, Russell is a resident of Lake Mary, FL.

The Youth Education Scholarship Fund
The Youth Education Scholarship Fund is an integral part of the City Golf Championship and is established to provide financial support in the form of College Scholarships to deserving students. Graduating High School Seniors are eligible to apply for a "YES" Fund Scholarship, based on demonstrated financial need, community service and a minimum scholastic achievement of 3.0 GPA. Students must pursue a full-time course of study at an accredited College or University in the United States. (click here to download application).
Lake Mary City Golf Championship: Sunday, August 22, 2010
The Lake Mary City Golf Championship is the single largest Amateur Golf Tournament held on an outstanding golf course in the City. The weekend Championship is a promotional golfing event developed by the DCI/DeSilva Communications, Inc., to promote the game of golf, provide players with a fun, competitive sporting event, raise Scholarship Funds for local High School students and engage the local business community to promote their products and services by supporting the Tournament. Golfers of ALL levels are invited to play in this major City Wide Championship Golf Tournament. This unique event provides the opportunity for that local golfer (both hacker and accomplished golfer alike), to compete and be crowned "The City Golf Champion." Players do not have to reside in the City to enter. The Single day Tournament is comprised of Four Flights based on Handicap:
• "Championship" Flight - 4 and under - Gold Tees
• "A" Flight Champions - 5 - 11 Handicap - Blue Tees
• "B" Flight Champions - 12 - 18 Handicap - Blue Tees
• "C" Flight Champions - 19 - 30 Handicap - White Tees
*If you do not have a handicap, the Tournament will establish one for you.

PARTICIPANTS
The Tournament is open to all amateur golfers, men, women and juniors 16+, with a handicap index ranging from 0 - 30. Entrants with a higher index must play down to a 30 handicap. If an Entrant does not have a USGA approved handicap index, the Tournament will provide a handicap index based on the Entrant's Five (5) most recent scores. All Entries will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. A maximum of 144 players are eligible to participate. Competing format will be Single Round - Individual Stroke Play - 18 holes.
ENTRY FEES
An Entry Fee must be paid by each Entrant. Entry Fees are per Player and include green fees, cart and range balls. Please see Registration Form for Entry Fees for each City Tournament.

Players interested in entering the Lake Mary City Golf Championship can click on the link to the Registration Form below. Registration forms can be dowloaded and printed. Registration Forms can also be obtained at Daytona Beach Golf & Country Club. All registrations must be submitted with an Entry Fee. All Entrants need to provide their most recent handicap when registering. A handicap index must be issued from a Golf Club which is licensed to use the USGA handicap system. Entrants needing to establish a handicap index must submit their entry form with their five (5) most recent scores. The Tournament will calculate and assign a handicap index based on the GHIN system. .

Withdrawal/Refund Policy:
If you withdraw up to Ten (10) days prior to the scheduled date of the Tournament, you may receive a refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee. No Refunds will be granted, for any reason whatsoever, on withdrawals or cancellations, within 10 days of the date of the Tournament. In addition, no refunds will be granted for "no shows" or disqualifications.
Prizes & Awards:
Over $800 in Crystal Trophies and Awards will be presented to the Winners. Low Gross Score and Low Net Score in the Tournament will be crowned the "City Golf Champions." and be published in the local media. Prize values will be based on the number of players in each flight. Prizes are paid in merchandise script redeemable at the Golf Course Pro-Shops. All other taxes and expenses related to prizes and all costs related to travel, lodging and meals to participate in the City Golf Championship are incurred by Entrant.
